These are not price tiers. A projector’s type decides where in the room it can physically go, which is the constraint that eliminates most of the catalog before any spec does.

Home theater

UST laser TV

Sits in a cabinet inches from the wall and fires upward. Designed to replace a television in a room with light, at the cost of needing a matched ambient-light-rejecting screen.

Portable

Small enough to carry, usually battery-powered, always dark-room devices. The trade is brightness, and every one of them is honest about it if you read the standard.

Gaming

Tuned for input lag and high refresh rates first. Most of them run 240 Hz at 1080p rather than 120 Hz at 4K, and the distinction matters.
