BenQ HT2060: what it gives up
- 1080p native — a 4K signal is accepted and downscaled
- 33 ms at 4K/60 and 60 Hz max make it a poor match for a current console
- No streaming built in, so a stick lives in the back panel
- LED brightness is measured honestly here, but 2,300 ANSI lumens is a dim-room number on a big screen
- It costs meaningfully more than the lamp model it replaced, which was already very good
BenQ GP520: what it gives up
- A fixed 1.20 throw ratio with digital zoom only — moving the picture means moving the projector
- No 3D and no Dolby Vision
- 60 Hz ceiling despite the HDMI 2.1 ports
- LED rather than laser, so it is dimmer than the laser lifestyle boxes near this price
